Reliability Engineering Workshop
This Reliability Engineering Workshop is designed for anyone who wants an introduction to applications of reliability engineering. It is taught by UNM professors and guest lecturers from Sandia National Laboratories, an engineering and reliability laboratory with a focus on safeguarding the nation’s nuclear stockpile. Participants will learn about reliability engineering concepts, including failure modes, mean time to failure (MTTF), system availability, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies. Students will also gain insight into the likelihood and consequences of system failures, the components of a reliability analysis, and the roles of management and supervisors in developing and executing an effective reliability engineering program. This workshop covers basic reliability engineering concepts and applications that will assist in preparation for the American Society for Quality (ASQ) online test for certification as a Reliability Engineer.
40 hours of continuing education credit are certified for this workshop.
