Biography
Dr. Svetlana V. Poroseva is a professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of New Mexico (UNM) with 35 years of multi-disciplinary research. She joined the Department is 2010, has also the courtesy appointment at the UNM Department of Mathematics and Statistics and is affiliated with the UNM Center for Advanced Research Computing. Prior joining UNM, she was affiliated with the Center for Turbulence Research at the Stanford University, Aerospace Engineering Department at the Texas A&M University, the Center for Advanced Power Systems and the School of Computational Science at the Florida State University when in U.S. Currently, Prof. Poroseva serves as a UNM faculty senator and is an associate fellow of AIAA, a member of APS DFD, ASME, ASTFE, and an honorary member of the Pi Tau Sigma Society.
