Mechanical Engineering wins Provost Committee for Staff award

The UNM Department of Mechanical Engineering staff was honored with the 2023 Provost Committee for Staff (PCS) Outstanding Workgroup Award.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering staff consists of:

  • Janine Pacheco, department administrator
  • Cindi Sanchez, administrative assistant
  • Anna Mae Apodaca, senior academic advisor
  • JJ Conn, senior academic advisor
  • David Kelly, accountant
  • Jason Church, senior machinist
  • Kyle Webb, engineering lab supervisor
  • Mike Arnold, senior machinist

PCS was created to assist the provost in providing opportunities for staff development, recognition and service. Outstanding workgroup winners demonstrate extraordinary achievement in one or more of the following areas:

  • Providing extraordinary service to UNM or the community
  • Demonstrating service to others through exceptional kindness and compassion
  • Exemplifying UNM values (excellence; access with support to succeed; integrity; diversity, respectful relationships; freedom; and sustainability)
  • Contributing substantially to significant team or department accomplishments
